"Gege—!" Mu Yuze pounced on He Juan and wrapped his arms around the agitated man, clinging on for dear life.
"Gege, gege, it's me! I'm here… I'm here now!" he kept calling out for He Juan amidst his sobs.
His heart grieved and wept and broke all over again when He Juan did not seem to notice his presence, too consumed by the demons wreaking havoc on his mind. He almost screamed himself hoarse to the point where Mu Yuze could feel the raw intensity of his anguish resonating in the very air around them.
So this is what Juan-gege has been enduring all alone… so this is the burden he has been shouldering…
"Juan-gege… He Juan…!" Fumbling, Mu Yuze cupped the man's face, determined to redirect those haunting silver eyes toward him. And he almost burst out into tears once more when he saw the bleakness and despair in He Juan's otherwise gentle silver eyes, as tears continued to pour out of them.
