"Good morning, Zoe!" Jackson greeted her as she made it to the kitchen, taking the little breakfast she had put aside earlier.
"Morning Jackson," She answered with her mouth stuffed with pancake. She looked up to see Gabriel was with him and he merely tipped his head in acknowledgment.
"And you shouldn't eat while standing. Come on, sit with us." He beckoned her, tapping the other empty seat.
"Sorry, bad habits never die." Zoe hinted at the fact that she usually does this whenever she was late. Nonetheless, she walked over and ungracefully plopped down on the seat.
"If there's anything I'm going to miss when you finally leave here, it would be your cooking," Jackson said.
Unfortunately, that wasn't really a happy reminder for Zoe and she halted momentarily, however, she managed to compose herself, resuming eating as her eyes connected with Gabriel.
"So you're leaving for school?" He inquired.
"Obviously," She pointed out.
