It was Monday and Zoe still could not face Jackson, not after what he walked in last night. On the bright side, today was work day, which means she wouldn't see much of him until she returned from school. Nonetheless, those few hours away would clear her head and she would know what to do about this unfortunate circumstance.
None of them had expected Jackson home last night else they would have been more careful. Gabriel told her that he had something to do and would be back on Monday evening at the latest. Unfortunately, he returned late and Zoe could not remember much, not when she was screaming in terror and scrambling to pick her clothes from God knows where Gabriel tossed them to cover her nakedness.
