Chapter 7 - Sir Avalanzo!!

Everly, who knew that she had messed up, immediately proceeded to apologize.

"I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry, please. I just... all the patients that I have cared for have always refused to eat, and I had to do this to get them to eat. I guess I'm just used to it, and... it's not what you think, I swear."

She pleaded, and Valerio harshly gripped her by the chin.

He gave her a death stare that sent a deadly chill through her entire body.

"That I can't see changes nothing. You're my caregiver, and your job is to be my eyes. That's all there is to it. Do you understand?" He questioned.

Everly nodded, nervously fidgeting with her fingers.

"Yes, I will not make such a mistake again." She promised, and he let go of her chin.

He sat back down on the sofa and waved his hand at her.

"You can leave. I am no longer hungry." He said to her and Everly let out a long agitated gasp.

"Sir Avalanzo!" She immediately cupped her hands together, causing Valerio to furrow his brows at her in confusion.

"What is it?"

"I am so very sorry for making you angry. I am really sorry." She pleaded with a face that looked as though she was almost about to cry.

"Please you have to eat! It is my job as your caregiver to make sure you are in good health. If you don't eat and anything goes wrong, my license may be revoked, I beg you." She pleaded.

Valerio, who was quite stunned, had a bit of a generous expression replace the cold look on his face.

"Fine!" He permitted her to go on, not wanting to unnecessarily make things hard for her.

A look of relief ensued on Everly's face, and she sat back down, then proceeded to feed him with a half smile on his face.

_______________

"So he has a caregiver now?" A young man with blonde neck-length curly hair asked, and his handyman nodded in response.

"Yes, Prince Logan." He replied.

"I see." The young man, whose name was Logan, narrowed his gray eyes and adjusted his glasses that were hanging on the bridge of his nose.

"Poor brother, he now has to rely on a caregiver. Well, I mean, that makes things better for us, Jonathan, no?"

He inquired, and his personal handyman, Jonathan, nodded in respect.

"What is her name?" He pried.

"Everly Eloise. Twenty-five years old. She's an orphan with a little brother who lives with their aunt, Mrs. Louise." He answered as he handed Logan files that contained information on Everly.

Logan looked at the papers and blinked his neutral eyes.

"I see. This is quite interesting. I can't wait to see where this leads." He snickered wickedly. "You know what to do, Jonathan." With a slow smirk on his face, he said, and Jonathan bowed to him before leaving.

Logan threw his head back in amusement and twirled the chair he was seated on as he burst into laughter.

"You're something else, brother. To think you'd hire a caregiver, ahahahahahahaha. Tsk tsk." He laughed even louder and abruptly stopped when the footsteps of a woman resounded in the slightly dark room.

He raised his head and tilted it to one side.

"Rose, what are you doing here? I told you I would come to you." He spoke with a neutral glint in his eyes, and Rose, a young woman with fiery red hair, red eyes, and a body to die for, strolled towards him, dressed in a high-waisted red skirt and a white blouse.

She leaned into him, her hands pressed on the armrest of the chair to support her body.

She looked at his face, and her lips slowly curled up into a smile.

"I missed you, Logan." She said this to him and seductively kissed him, biting his lip a bit in the process.

"Shit!" Logan gripped hold of her hair and smacked his lips against hers, kissing her till she was out of breath.

"Let me breathe, Logan." She drew back and licked off the taints of blood on her bottom lip. "What are you planning this time?" She inquired with her brow arched.

Logan grabbed her by the waist and his lips curved into a sneer as he sat her down on his lap.

"You just wait and watch, sweetie. You will be pleased. It will be a great show to behold. Ahahah." He laughed crazily, and Rose chuckled softly.

"Then I will wait. After all, I enjoy seeing your brother in pain." She vehemently narrowed her eyes.
