Jasper grew restless. He just wanted to shove her hand away and get out of there. Despite his efforts to remain composed, his animosity toward her threatened to resurface. But knowing that his action would make things worse, he swallowed his uneasiness.
Britney, however, seemed oblivious to his emotions; her voice filled with excitement as she spoke.
"Let me show you something," Britney said, her tone light with excitement. She leaned forward, her fingers grasping the hem of her gown, and slowly lifted it upward. Jasper's gaze followed her hands, his eyes fixed on her bare feet as she wiggled her toes.
"Look!" She exclaimed, her face brightening with joy. "I can move my legs! It won't be long before I can stand and walk again. Isn't it good?" She looked up at him enthusiastically.
Jasper nodded. He was satisfied with the result of the new treatment she had been receiving.
