"You said it yourself. It is a great deal for me, so why should I refuse it?" Cane snickered disdainfully to see Lou's façade slip for a brief second before he regained his composure and acted unbothered.
"Great!" Lou clapped his hands, as if he were very happy with the deal. "I will give you the onceover about it later and we will have another discussion about it."
"Okay," Cane said lightly and stood up. "If there is nothing more, I will take my leave." He kept the conversation with Lou as short as possible and didn't waste a second to be there.
And what was even worse was the part when Cane left even before Lou could give him a reply. The merchant was too shocked and angry.
