Cane looked fine when he pushed his body off of the ground, he was no longer having a hard time breathing, but when he lifted his head to look at Iris, the sight of his eyes made her stop in her tracks from touching him.
"Na…" Cane whispered.
It was his face, it was him who was sitting in front of her, but Iris felt like she had lost Cane. What was going on? Why did his eyes turn red? That was the same color as… the lycan's eyes.
"Na…" Cane whispered again, he moved closer to Iris, but out of instinct, she backed away from him, which made him frown at this gesture. He didn't like her being away from him. "Don't go, don't be angry, I promise I will be good."
The furrow between her brows deepened when she read what he said. What did he mean by that?!
"Wh- what?"
