''Mother, are we going home with…the d-duke?'' Damien's question made Isla's fingers around the small flower pot to flinch. No, it was actually the way he addressed her ex-husband when he referred the latter as father yesterday evening.
''Damien…Mother doesn't know about that yet.'' Replying to him, Isla placed the small flowerpot on the counter. She then turned back to Damien and knelt down in front of him.
''Mother truly doesn't know anything, Damien.'' Her smile was sad as she brushed the brown strands of his hair that became slightly longer again.
Other than waiting for father to come, Isla really did not know what to do against her ex-husband. She hated that reality had to show her how useless and relaxed she was, thinking that everything would play out just like her imagination.
