Sharon steps into Leila's office as though, once fully settled, she would pounce on her. She takes a deep breath and hands Leila the documents.
"I believe I requested these a long time ago" Leila stated, staring angrily at Sharon
Sharon stands stiff but says nothing. After a minute, Leila sighs and hands the partnership agreement documents to Sharon, then rises.
"Record that. I'm closing early today. Keep me posted" Leila informed and starts packing up
Sharon nods and walks out of the office leaving Leila to arrange her things. Five minutes later, Leila walks out of her office and LY Teck building to her car.
She opens the driver's seat door and her phone rings. A sigh escape her mouth on seeing the caller ID but picks up without saying a word.
"I'm at your house. Come quick"
With that, the call goes dead,
It was Eleanor. After a week-long silent treatment, she decided to call, but then for what exactly? Leila has to get home to find out.
It takes ten minutes for her to get home. She takes her time to get out of the car and into the building as the house was not on fire, neither were there strangers moving in and out like it's their home.
On getting into the sitting room, Leila spots Eleanor seated with an unknown young man watching a TV series. Noticing her presence, they turn to the door.
The man is the first to rise, followed by Eleanor, who gives Leila a wide smile. "Welcome. This is Kane. Kane this is Leila" Eleanor introduced, gesturing to each of them
"And what's his job?" Leila questioned, already guessing what Eleanor has in mind
"He'll be your bodyguard"
"I have guards, aunt"
"I need the one I can see"
Leila walks away to her room, not wanting to have an argument with Eleanor. She spends two hours in her room before stepping out to the dining room to have dinner, after which she goes back to her room.

It's the weekend and as usual, Leila is up early. She has her bath and puts on an ash crop top with matching pants and sneakers, but before leaving the house she puts on a hoodie.
She gets in the car and after a ten-minute ride, she gets to the gym. Feeling dehydrated, she gets bottled water at the entrance and walks into the gym.
Likewise, she gets on a treadmill and puts on her headset before powering up the mill. She starts slow as it has been a while since she used a mill to exercise, in fact, it has been a while since she exercised at all.
Leila felt bored by staying home or going to the office all day and remembered she could kill some time in the gym. Not long into her run, someone takes over the treadmill beside her.
She ignores the person and concentrates on her run. About thirty minutes later, she decides to stop and take a rest. Once she steps down, her eyes catch the man on the treadmill beside hers.
Nolan,
Leila ignores him and takes a seat to sip some water. A minute later, Nolan walks up to her. "Hey, funny seeing you here" he greeted
"Hi" she responded and continues sipping her water,
She rises and makes for the exit when Nolan grabs her arm. "Don't you remember me?"
"I do, Mr. Nolan", she said and walks off,
Nolan watches her back until she is out of sight. Leila walks to her and jumps in without looking back.
A man stands at the side of the road putting on all black and dark shades, stares at Leila's car as it drives past him. "I have her in sight. She is driving off now" he mutters on his earpiece and walks into the gym
A sports car drives past the gym quickly taking the route Leila followed a minute ago.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Leila glances at her phone in the passenger seat. She parks at the side on seeing the caller ID and picks up.
"Spill" she commanded,
"I've got it. Meet me at the usual" the female voice at the other end says and ends the call,
Leila tosses the phone and starts the car, pushing the accelerator like her life depended on it. Two minutes into her ride to her destination, a low voice whispers into her ears.
"You are being followed"
Leila abruptly steps on the brakes, almost causing an accident as it was the main road. She pushes the accelerator, but this time not too fast.
Taking her right, she studies her side mirror. Furthermore, she takes the route on her left and studies the side mirror again, and she finally gets the car following her.
Leila had noticed that sports car some days back, parked a few paces away from her house. She did not think much of it as although the landscape was large and had only her house there, she was aware that some construction was going on, so the car might be one of the owners of the land.
Now that she thinks about it, she saw that same sports car the previous day parked outside LY tech, but she didn't take note of it.
"Someone has been watching me," she said with anger.
She pushes the accelerator, making the car almost fly. It takes a lot of effort from the driver of the sports car to keep up with the speed.
Leila at this point was driving like a maniac. She isn't thinking, but acting. With that, she drives until she is a few meters away from her house, but instead of driving towards it, she stops and reverses at the same speed she used to get there.
The sports car is taken unawares and tries to get out of the way. Not long after their trial, they notice something. Leila circles the sports car and stops after the second time right in front of the sports car horizontally, waiting for their next move.
