A week later, Nolan and Leila's relationship has skyrocketed. Nolan did not completely eliminate the job at hand and Leila did not also remove the knowledge she has after reading his file.
When looked up close, they looked genuinely happy in each other's company.
Another day to head to the office. Dressed in an orange pants suit, her hair packed in a ponytail with scattered edges and a lip gloss, Leila began placing her things in her bag when her phone rang.
She smiled on reading the caller ID then picked it up and placed it on loudspeaker.
"Good morning" he greeted with a groggy voice
"Just woke up?" she asked still gathering her things
"Mm. Off to work?"
"Mmhm" she hummed
The line went silent for a while and she was done. She zipped it, glanced at herself in the mirror one last time then walked out of the room.
"A problem?" she asked as Nolan was yet to say anything
