Chapter 7 - I Would Like To Settle

Sandra's cab halted stop in front of the police station and Becky got down out of the car to check if they weren't followed by paparazzi

Even though they dropped Sandra's minivan and took a cab they can't still take chances.

Sandra sat still in the cab stomping her legs impatiently on the car ground, waiting for Becky to come back so, she can go and say a piece of her mind to her troublemaker's brothers.

Joseph and Smith had been Sandra's dirty linens that she doesn't want to wash in public.

Sometimes after they got into trouble she felt like leaving them to rot in jail but they are still her brother and as the saying goes blood is thicker than water.

Becky opened the door to the car and told her that the coast was clear and she can step out.

Sandra got down from the cab in black pants and a black jacket with a black cap to go with it but she excluded sunglasses because she doesn't want to attract attention and she looked for any paparazzi lurking around because she won't want any news flying around.

"But I still think that you should just ask him for help," Becky says not mentioning names but Sandra just rolled her eyes.

Dylan always helped her whenever her brothers got into their usual trouble without breaking a sweat but the free lunch was over and it was time to take care of her problem herself.

How could I ask the help of someone that hasn't called me, Sandra thought in her head fuming in anger.

"Sandra, "Becky called back and Sandra turned back not understanding why Becky called her back.

"When you get in there I hope you keep in mind that murder is still a crime and you are in a police station" Becky warned fiercely looking at the girl that was seething in anger.

"I don't know what crazy psychopath that they messed that insisted that he had a word with me," Sandra complained grumpily.

Sandra walked into the police station and she can say that she had stepped foot inside the police station more than award auditorium hall.

Immediately she stepped inside it was like they were waiting for her arrival because they all stood up like they were waiting for respectable people but she like they did not make a fuss about it.

Sandra felt embarrassed that her brother had to cause trouble at a place where she was well respected but as the different thoughts were running through her mind she still kept on a smile.

Sandra gaped around trying to see those two familiar faces and she saw them bowed their heads down in shame.

Yes, they should be ashamed.

She was only in trouble because of them, she also entered into that contract because they got in trouble and that infuriates her more but she kept her emotions at bay because what she wanted to do now is pulled their hair hard until they become bald.

Sandra walked slowly towards where her brothers sat some officers cast her distinct glances and she muttered a silent prayer that the issue won't be the trending news tomorrow.

"Joseph Brown" Sandra called her brother fiercely and when both men hear her voice they both quivered in fear.

The once bragging brothers turned to jelly when they heard their sister's threatening voice.

Sandra went to sit in front of the presiding officer and she asked him to brief him about what the charges were.

"They kinda hit into an expensive car because they were driving over the average speed and if the person is bent on not settling then there is nothing we can do" the officer explained with all his dentition outside trying to impress the nation's goddess.

"So you mean if the person is hell-bent on not settling then it's likely they go to jail?"Sandra asked with a pessimistic tone.

The officer was confused about her question but he answered anyways by nodding his head.

"How many months are they going to spend if the person is planning to send them to jail?"Sandra asked again and the policeman looked stunned but he responded

"Since they are a new offender maybe six months or he could be acquitted with a fine," he says.

Sandra sighed heavily because heaven knows that she doesn't want to send her brothers to jail but if serving jail time will let them get back to their senses then so be it.

"I'm sure he has had a case of that before just check his file I'm sure you could find something, "Sandra says her brothers started appealing frantically promising they would be good and won't get into trouble again but Sandra had made up her mind and she pushed them away not trying to dissolve her determination.

"Why are you begging me I would advise you to just go to jail this time around because if you don't I'm going to kill you myself and feed your balls to the dog," Sandra threatened because she was tired of their endless trouble.

Ever since their father died in an accident some years back her brothers had turned irresponsible but now she was done cleaning after their dump.

If her brothers going to jail this time around would give her peace then so be it, that was her resolution.

"Do it I will make sure the person doesn't settle, just do it," Sandra begged for jail time for her brothers and the people around thought she had lost her mind.

"I have never seen anyone eager to send their siblings to jail," Sandra heard a husky voice behind her and she turned to look at him.

A man in Black pants and a black hoodie walked into the police station and the aura he was emanating almost choked Sandra she tried to get a look at his face but that attempt was in vain.

Aiden took large strides towards the haggard-looking men and the beautiful woman with hazel eyes that had been haunting him and one thing was on his mind.

I got you, Aiden thought wickedly

Sandra gave him a subtle look because the man in front of her doesn't look like he lost something valuable rather he looked calm and his expression was like he gained something but she shrugged it off.

"Your brother ran into my car and I would like to settle," Aiden says taking steps even closer to Sandra and she scrutinized the strange man suspiciously...
