Ivy looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror and exhaled slowly. It was a great night. Dinner with Jayde's parents was very satisfying. Neither of Jayde's parents looked at her with hatred or seemed angry at her for insisting on a divorce from their son. In fact, Jayde's parents welcomed her with great joy. Jayde's father talked a lot at the dining table about his unique past experiences. Also funny stories when trying to get Jayde's mother's love.
Ivy was very entertained to hear their stories. It made her forget about her troubles for a moment and she felt like her life was back to normal. She had not eaten at the dining table in a long time with such a warm, family atmosphere. She misses her father now.
