"Why is everyone gathered here? And what's with your face, Ivy?"
Ivy was silent and had no intention of answering Axel's question. Let her dad answer it.
"Hey, anyone want to tell me something?" asked Axel while looking at the confusion of everyone standing in the living room.
"Axel sit down, I have something to tell you," Abraham said calmly while encouraging Axel to sit on one of the nearby sofas.
"It seems there is something I missed."
Instead of following Abraham to sit on the sofa, Axel actually approached Ivy who was still standing next to Jayde while lowering her head.
"Where were you last night? My mother is looking for you." Axel cupped Ivy's cheek gently and lifted her face so Ivy could look at him. Axel was surprised to see Ivy's messy face. There were traces of tears on her cheeks and her eyes were very red.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry."
"Where were you last night? My mother is looking for you."
