When I looked back, I was surprised to find Axel standing while holding out a black card to the shopkeeper.
"Nice to see you again, Ivy."
"Axel? How did you get here?"
Where's Jayde? Why did that man suddenly disappear? Wasn't Jayde standing behind me? Now I actually find Axel standing in front of me and full of confidence as usual. He was wearing a gray formal suit and he looked like he had just come back from an important meeting.
"I saw you step into this shop, and I followed you."
"Please follow me to complete the payment."
"Oh, let me just pay for it."
"Ivy please, don't reject my kindness."
"But Axel you don't need to buy it for me."
"A woman should not pay for her own things. Especially a married woman. Where was your husband when he was supposed to go to pay for your purse?"
"I'm right behind you."
Oh God, this is really not going to end well. Jayde seemed quite emotional and offended by Axel's words.
