Blair departed from the room designated for her half-sibling's overnight stay, assuming that Coraline had nowhere to go and might not be needed tonight; which was why she agreed to come along.
With a heavy breath, she made her way across the floor that led to the chamber she shared with Zephyr. Blair turned the doorknob and quietly peeked through the door. She knew he had left angrily, so she spent time outside before returning to the chamber. She didn't want him to utter angry words at her.
Blair observed him sitting beside the bed with his back to her and his head lowered. Upon entering, she witnessed him placing his finger into a candle that was placed on the table. Her eyes went wide and she hurriedly went to snatch his finger from the fire, while blowing on it frantically.
