Chaos reigned in the hall once the princess had passed out, Helene hastened to take the princess in her arms, and brought her to the side while drawing the attention of other servants to come to their aid.
Zero, who was looking for all means to bring down Zephyr, finally found the moment and he did not hesitate to order the other servants to capture him. "Get him!" Zero bellowed in anger, "How dare he hurt the princess"
Soon, the hall was turned into a battleground. With swords clinging and flying blows. Zephyr had picked up one of their swords and used it against them. Giving them no chance to launch an attack on him, yet he was fighting them fiercely.
There was a time when two of the royal servants were running towards him, he had used his right hand to fight with one and had carried the other one with his left hand, and flung him away. The guy landed on his butt while holding it in pain.
"You're going down right now!" Zero said furiously, he pushed the other servants away, rolled his sleeves, and attacked Zephyr with all his might. You could say, their skill were on par, no one was winning and no one was losing.
Only if Zephyr hadn't lost his powers, just his aura would yearn for this pathetic man's life before him.
"What is going on here?" King Magnus, the king of Neblon, appeared in the scene. He was with the rest of the royal family. They all looked bewildered at the sight of the grand hall, it was such a huge mess.
And King Magnus wasn't pleased at all.
"It's him, your majesty" All the servants pointed at Zephyr. The king's eyes moved to look at the man they were referring to. Zephyr just looked back at him without bowing his head in respect, obviously, he didn't know what to do.
The King was baffled at the man's arrogance, his jaw even dropped because he was surprised. Normally, whenever he was talking, his subjects would lower their gazes but he... He was looking at the king directly like the king was just some ordinary being.
"On your knees," Zero whispered to Zephyr.
Zephyr didn't make any move, thereby irking zero the more. Zero moved behind him and kneed him so that he could be on his knees.
King Magnus sighed, he turned around and walked on the stair that led to the throne. He sat down majestically and glanced at his subjects. Immediately, zero came forward and began to speak, "These are the captives your majesty" He bowed his head. "The women are in the box.
Zero signaled one of his men to open the large box and once it was opened, twenty young women stepped out of it slowly. They were clutching each other and were looking around the hall frightfully, they were then brought to their knees in front of the king.
Looking at them disgustingly, "You should be thankful that you are here, instead of making yourselves useless in Nervine" King Magnus muttered as he glanced at the women. "Georgia?" he called out to the chief of the maids who immediately appeared like she knew that she would be called.
"Take them away and ensure they start their work"
"Yes your majesty" The woman called Georgia turned to meet the women, and she led them away- into another part of the castle where servants reside.
"And?" King Magnus inquired.
Zero nodded, clearing his throat, he continued, "These men are the bandits that we captured" He explained to the king, then he pointed at zephyr, "We found this battered one laying lifelessly in the forest and we thought to bring him, he might be useful to you, your majesty"
"Hmmm, you've done good work Zero" Magnus praised him.
" Yes, your majesty" Zero smiled inwardly.
Ethan, the crown prince suddenly remembered the promise the king had made when they were dining together, he moved closer to the king and whispered it in his ear in case he had forgotten. " Yes, where is Blair?" The king asked.
Silence reigned in the hall for a short period, as the servants looked at each other, wondering who amongst them was going to tell the king that the princess had passed out because of Zephyr. No one could do it, no one could relay the news to the king as they all knew how much the king loved the third princess even though she was an omega.
"Y...your majesty" Zero attempted to tell the king, but he was cut short by the voice of the princess.
"I'm here your majesty" Blair curtsied.
Zero turned the princess with a confusing look on his face, likewise the other servants. Didn't the princess faint a while ago because of Zephyr, why was she suddenly awake now, maybe she had been revived.
King Magnus smiled at his daughter in satisfaction, he urged her to come forward. "As I've promised that you'll get a bodyguard who would always protect you, as you know... I and your brothers might not be there when trouble comes"
" Yes, father" Blair commented in understanding.
" I want you to pick any of these men, do not worry about their records as bandits or whatever, by the time I'm done with them here, they'll remain loyal to you only and quit their previous behavior"
" Your majesty, why don't you do the honor of choosing for me? You are wiser than I am"
At this, Margaret rolled her eyes and gave a hiss which was only heard by Magnus and he gave her a subtle glare before returning his gaze to his daughter.
Magnus chuckled loudly, "I don't want to make you uncomfortable by choosing for you, I'm fine with your choice"
"Alright your majesty" Blair bowed politely, then she walked down the stairs to where the men were kneeling before her father and she started walking in front of them.
Blair didn't need to think twice, the one in her mind was the gray-eyed man. She wanted to know why he made her feel so strange within herself and she wanted to know if he was indeed similar to that wolf in her dream. Also, she needed to know how a beautiful man like him ended up in the hands of the mischievous zero.
Blair was standing close to zephyr now, she noticed that he was looking at the ground and he seemed lost. He wasn't even aware of their closeness at all. She wanted to grab his attention so she used her index finger to raise his chin. And their eyes met.
"I want him" She spoke subconsciously.
