carefully before responding, his gaze never leaving Anna's eyes. "I'm someone from your past, someone who..." He paused, grappling with the delicate balance of revealing the truth without overwhelming her fragile memory.
"...someone who cares deeply about you," he continued, his voice carrying a gentle warmth. "My name is Mo Xing. We shared something special, something that time couldn't erase."
Anna's brows furrowed as she tried to process the information. Mo Xing— the name echoed faintly in the recesses of her mind. She took a step back, her eyes still fixed on his face, as if hoping to find the missing pieces of a puzzle in the contours of his features.
The more she looked at his face, the more she felt that he looked very familiar. It was if she had known him for a very long time.
