Chapter 5 - A lot of things can last more than 10 minutes

His side of the story

Two days later

"You what?" the blonde guy in front of him spat out all the liquid he had in his mouth, looking at him with a weird expression. Allen scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"For fuck's sake, Kyle. I'm not repeating myself." he folded his arms over his chest.

"How do you expect me to react when…" Kyle's voice cracked as he was trying as hard as he could not to laugh, his green eyes becoming watery by the second. "You didn't even last ten minutes."

Allen hit the table, making everyone around them in the cafeteria look in their direction.

"That's all your little brain grasped out of all I said?" he said angrily, grabbing his friend by the shirt and dragging him out of the place. He reached the furthest wall and released his grip.

"Shit, Al, calm down." Kyle fixed his shirt while looking at him, then checked there was nobody around. He leaned back on the wall. "So?"

Allen clicked his tongue.

"So?" he asked back. "It was fucking embarrassing."

"For what you told me, I don't think she even cared, dude." Kyle looked at him with a smirk. "What I can do tell, though, is that you just found your kryptonite."

"It's not funny," his expression looked more concerned than angry, so it was obvious there was something else going on; but Kyle knew better than asking him directly.

"To me, it is. I'll never get another chance to find something to tease you with."

If looks could kill, Kyle would certainly be dead by now.

"Fuck you, Kyle."

"Fuck YOU, Al," after a couple of seconds of silence, they laughed softly. "Honestly, though, I'm surprised you're still thinking about it. You move on pretty fast. No, you haven't even had the need to move on before."

"Yeah. I guess you're right," his blue eyes moved from his best friend to the ground, kicking some dirt.

"Is it because you'd like to give her the chance of having a second lay?" he laughed about it, but Allen didn't laugh back.

"Maybe…" his voice trailed off. He sure as hell wanted to have her again, but the problem was that he was not sure if she would have him too. The obvious answer would be yes given the fact that she orgasmed 3 times, but the fact that she left without saying anything or even texted him at all during the whole weekend made him feel too self-conscious.

Kyle laughed hard when he noticed Allen's ears turning red.

"Was it really that good?" Allen pressed his lips together, nodding a little. "If that's the case, just ask her. Stop being so pathetic."

He was about to spit something back when the bell rang, telling them it was time to go back to class. He glared at Kyle, who was looking at him with a huge grin, from the corner of his eyes. Both started moving back inside the building, punching and pushing each other playfully. They both walked through the corridors, drawing some stares their way. Allen's eyes roamed around eagerly looking for the red curly hair. He spotted her for a second right by the end of the hall, laughing vigorously with another girl beside her. He felt his heart skip a beat inside his chest, and hated it for being so weak.

"Your girlfriend just passed by." Kyle joked, receiving a hard nudge in his ribs. He chuckled, grabbing his side with one hand.

"I know, asshole," he said. His voice dropped a little before adding, "And she's not my girlfriend."

"You're right. You wish she were." And then he fled. Allen's cold, blue eyes stared at him daggers as he was getting away. He felt adrenaline rushing down his stomach, making him chase his idiot of a friend.

He noticed Kyle turning back right in front of the red-head, slowing down a little and looking at her for a second; he then shouted at him with a smile on his face.

"I CAN SEE WHY, THOUGH!" His face drained of all blood for a second, but he managed to control his surprise. He couldn't do much for his rage, though. His mouth morphed into a thin, irregular line, his eyebrows knotting in the middle of his forehead right below a bulging vein. That's it. I'm gonna kill him.

Kyle must have felt the tension too, because he turned on his heels and ran even faster.

Her side of the story

Both guys passed Isabelle and Cassidy like a flash, leaving them both pretty confused. They were so into the conversation they didn't understand a thing about the whole shouting and chasing. Isabelle noticed Allen was chasing after somebody, though; her eyes following his silhouette as he got lost running up the stairs. Cassidy smirked and threw her arms around Isabelle's neck.

"Hang in there, girl. You had enough of him for a week," she whispered in her ear, making her blush.

"Shut up?" She pushed her friend aside and started walking faster, stealing a look at where she saw him a few seconds ago.

She was distracted the rest of the day, thinking about what to do if the moment came up when they met face to face; even by accident. That thought made her feel nervous and thrilled at the same time. The truth was that she wanted him to notice her, at least get his attention for a second; maybe even know that the time they spent together had meant something to him too. But that was just her wild imagination, making her hopes higher than she actually wanted.

After the last class, Isabelle made her way out of the building, letting the mob of students lead her out and take her to the main gate. There she caught up with Cassidy, who was waiting for her under a tree. Like every Monday, they go out after school to different places and have something to look forward to each week, for a change. Today, they headed to the closest mall to check out their favorite bookstore. They both had in common this thing for reading, and when they met around five years ago, they clicked together. They walked side by side a few meters when a very well-known black Jeep slowed down beside them. When the window rolled down, his ice-blue eyes fixed on hers. Both girls looked at each other in confusion, Cassidy's gaze shifting between her best friend and the driver repeatedly.

As she imagined, at the moment of truth, her mind went completely blank, leaving her looking like an idiot. He looked back to the front, shifting his eyes everywhere but her direction again. He then spoke.

"Get in." he commanded.
