Looking somewhat heroically, Ariana stood in front of the six—now five—Firsts of the Ten Families.
"You little..." Despite knowing that their friend could be easily revived after a while, the Firsts still reacted as if it were the end of the world.
Their reason for being so crazed was that with every death, some of their essence would seep away from their bodies.
If it were normal essence, they wouldn't mind, but it wasn't their essence, but that of their ancestor!
