Qiao Wei moved behind Zhang Fengxi and pressed his palms against the latter's back. A surge of power flowed from his body into Zhang Fengxi's, but the action was akin to pouring buckets of water to fill up a dried pond.
After all, he was currently a human being and Zhang Fengxi was a heavenly creature.
"Stop."
Zhang Fengxi opened his eyes. He spat out some more blood onto the bedsheet when he coughed. Gingerly, he wiped traces of blood from the corner of his lips.
"Baby, I am fine," he said to placate Qiao Wei.
"You don't look fine to me at all," Qiao Wei snapped, not at all placated. "Take off your robe and lie down, let me inspect your meridians."
A low moan escaped Zhang Fengxi's lips as he collapsed onto the mattress.
Qiao Wei's fingers, cool and practiced, traced a path across Zhang Fengxi's naked body, pausing with a gentle press at each pressure point.
