Bai Lu got up from her seat and bowed slightly, showing no emotion on her face. From the beginning to the end, she had not uttered a single word. The teachers were disappointed and frustrated by her attitude. They wondered if she felt any remorse for what she had done.
Bai Lu straightened up and walked towards the door, feeling a lump in her throat. She opened the door and stepped out, closing it behind her. As soon as she was out of sight, tears began to stream down her face. She wiped them away with her sleeve, trying to calm herself down. She decided to avoid going back to her classroom, where she knew everyone would stare at her and whisper about her. She needed some time alone, to clear her thoughts and figure out what to do next.
