'What! Johnson almost screamed from the chair when he heard what his boss said. But he was wise enough to shut himself up on time.
However, the faint gasp that escaped his mouth did not go unheard by his boss who threw him a warning glare.
'How is what you went through a minor accident? 'I'm sure you were brought back from the gates of hell, or heaven as the case may be.'
"How are you dad?" Elvis asked, his voice laced with concern.
"I'm recovering well," Shawn replied as he allowed himself to indulge a bit in his son's care. It was rare for Elvis to speak that gently with him.
"Was that why you couldn't reach out to us?" Elvis suddenly felt bad for how he had misunderstood their father.
"That's not why I asked for a video call, dude," Shawn said when he saw the little guy becoming more moody.
