Allison's heart pounded in her chest as she desperately tried to push herself away from Carter. Her body grew stiff and rigid as he tightened his grip on her hair, causing a sharp pain to shoot through her scalp. She winced when his blade burrowed deeper into her side.
"Careful…be a good girl," Carter warned, his voice laced with a cruel edge. He released his grip on her hair, only to seize her upper arm, his fingers digging into her delicate flesh.
"Try pulling any more stunts like that, and I will kill you slow instead of quick." His words dripped with malice, sending a chill through Allison's veins.
"Now, Move!" He demanded, his tone cold and commanding. Nudging Allison's slender frame toward the bar and her father. His presence loomed over her, casting a shadow that made her feel uneasy.
