As Hildie struggled to hoist the saddle over the horse's back, she heard Aaron's depraved-sounding voice come from behind. "Where are you going with that useless nag?" He asked. There was a contemptuous tone in his voice. He took a sip of whiskey from the glass flask in his hand and placed it back in the pocket of his vest.
Hildie knew he did not carry silver. It was something that he had an aversion to.
The servant girl replied, keeping her tone neutral. She did not want to raise Aaron's ire.
"You…You said I could go get medicine. If I found a way."
There was a wicked glint in Aaron's eyes as he languidly made his way around the horse. His grin looked like a wolf's snarl.
"So, you found a way to pay for medicine? And where did you get money from? Hmm…"
"It i-i-i-is my personal money." She replied, nervously.
