The Duke scooped Faye into his arms and carried her back to bed. He felt the mattress sag under his weight as he lay her on the bed. Peppering her face with kisses.
"Please…wash away the nightmare," Faye begged, wrapping her arms around his neck.
The Duke leaned over and covered her mouth with his, stroking the seam of her lips with his tongue, urging her to let him in. She parted her lips, allowing his tongue to search and discover every crevice and corner of her mouth.
"Mmmm…." She moaned into his mouth while he passionately deepened the kiss. Faye's hands wandered over Sterling's chest and broad shoulders, feeling the sinewy strength of his taut muscles beneath the fabric of his shirt.
"HAA! HAA!"
They both gasped for air as the Duke sat back, pushing himself away from Faye.
