Andre lovingly kissed Mielle on the top of her head. He knew she faced an arduous task caring for the Duchess and meeting the commanders demands, "Mmm… I see…"
"Then heed my advice and be sure to do as the commander asks. He will not tolerate his orders being disregarded. But also try to find out what will make the Duchess happy and more comfortable in this situation."
"Unfortunately, you are caught in the middle and will need to play devil's advocate if you wish to avoid getting into a predicament between the two of them. I sympathize with you for being trapped in such a difficult position."
Mielle thanked Andre for his counsel. "Thank you. You have been helpful." She stood on her toes and placed a kiss on Andre's cheek. And she watched the giant knight flush red in the face.
"My pleasure," he whispered, bending down to place a delicate kiss on Mielle's lips.
