After telling the secret to the Duke, Faye pulled away from his arm and gazed up at him. He gave her a slight nod, with a good-natured grin. "I will take care of it. Now run along and let Mielle help you get dressed."
Mielle clasped Faye's hand, seeing her conversation with the Duke had ended, and dragged her away behind the bedroom door to get ready.
Sterling fixed his attention on Andre, his eyes locked onto him with intensity, while Merrick and Sir Proud watched with curious expressions. The Duke cocked his head, his eyes trained on the giant Paladin, as the other two men carefully surveyed the situation.
"So… Andre, how long were you going to keep all your brothers in the dark?"
The dark eyes of the knight darted around the hall, bouncing from Merrick to Sterling and back to Sir Proud. Andre gulped nervously, fumbling with his words, feigning ignorance at being caught. "I, I'm not sure what you're asking?"
