Faye's attention was drawn to the Duke's suppressed giggle, resonating faintly. "Please, share with me," she urged, her eyes filled with curiosity. "I want to laugh too. What's so funny?"
Sterling jutted his head to the other end of the table. "The ring…When I first showed Carter the raw gem stone, he turned up his nose at it and was not impressed."
He said… 'It was not what he was expecting for his bride.'
Then, the jeweler came by right before we left for Easthaven, and he changed his mind about the newly cut stone and setting for the ring he was creating. By the looks of it, the bride seems to be fairly impressed with the finished piece as well.
"I just heard her say the lady beside her how much its sparkle reminds her of Carter's eyes."
"Hehehe…" Faye softly chuckled. That is quite a compliment." She sighed, "They make an adorable couple. It's refreshing to see their affection."
