"Hey, where's your head?" Carter asked Dahlia, watching her come back to reality.
"I have been trying to get your attention. Wake up, and look around," He said happily, spreading out his arms over the room. "Everyone has left. We are finally alone."
Carter ran over and snatched Dahlia from her feet, taking her by surprise. He carried her to the bed, flopping her on her back as he crawled over the top of her with his own body. He tenderly pecked her full lips with a quick kiss and rolled to his side, turning her to face him.
"You can't hide your worries from me, Dahlia…" He said in a serious voice, his big blue eyes shining down at her.
"I can see there is something bothering you and you lied to me earlier by saying there wasn't!"
Dahlia closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to prepare herself for the discussion to come.
