Sterling frowned at Faye's protest. "You can't get better unless you swallow this." He held up the tiny bottle, showing her the medicine.
At the sight of it, her face twisted into a scowl. "It's bitter." Faye whined pathetically.
Sterling's eyes narrowed. He was trying to maintain his air of authority, but Faye was making it difficult. The sight of her made him want to grin at how adorable and childlike she was in this moment. However, he knew it would not help his case or get her to take the medicine.
She was still weak, and he thought of how easily he could overpower her and force her to take it. But he also knew it was not good to make her upset, as he had already been reminded by those who were here to heal Faye. He had to think of a way to get her to swallow the medicine without force.
