"Diego, you should be happy now, you no longer have to go to dates anymore." Mr. Mateo said to his grandson after Thessa and her family had left.
"Can I get Thessa's phone number and home address?" Diego asked a shocking question.
"You seemed annoyed with our decision earlier on so why are you asking that now." Mr. Mateo said getting suspicious and Diego asked.
"Will you please agree to one thing I say?"
"Okay, fine. Since you agreed to my decision, I will agree to your request." Mr. Mateo said and gave Diego all the information.
Jaden arrived at Mylar's house with his friend and mom, Mrs. Tobias.
"Who is it?" Mike asked as he heard a knock on the door.
"Instead of asking, go and check you lazy bum." Jenny said to him, this got him angry and he yelled at her.
"You're the lazy bum." They started arguing.
"Stop the both of you, what if it's Jaden." Mylar cautioned quietly trying not to be heard outside. They all kept quiet after hearing about the possibility of Diego being at the door.
Mike got up without arguing and went to the door, he unlocked it and pull it in and well, it was Jaden along with two other people, a man who looked the same age range as Jaden and a woman in her forties very close to fifty.
"Good evening." Mike greeted nicely and Jaden smiled and came close to Mike to give him a pat on the back.
"I hope you guys didn't wait long?" He asked and Mike shook his head roughly in response.
"That's good, shall we?" Jaden asked pointing to the sitting room.
"Offcourse, welcome ma'am, welcome sir." Mike replied and lead the way while they followed silently.
Mylar looked up from the book she pretended to read after Mike announced Jaden's arrival.
"Hi babe." Mylar said happily and got up quickly.
They gave each other a hug as others watched.
"Can we all introduce ourselves if you are done with your loving and hugging?" Mrs. Claire asked with a smile, everyone giggled. And then Jaden and his guests were asked to seat.
"I am Jaden, Mylar's boyfriend, this is my mom Mrs. Hilda Tobias and that is Matthew, my friend and co-worker." Jaden introduced.
"Nice to meet you all." Mrs. Claire, her husband and kids said in unison.
"Thank you, nice to meet you all too. Jaden has said a lot about your kids especially your daughter whom he clearly loves a lot, because I think it's still too early for Jaden to be telling me about a possible alliance between us when they've only been in a relationship for a few days." Mrs. Tobias said with a displeased expression.
"Mom, stop." Jaden whispered squeezing his mom's hand in his with pleading eyes.
Mylar noticed this and hoped Jaden's mom wasn't disapproving of her.
"Well, this is my mom Mrs. Claire and my dad Mr. Jeremy Rodriguez, my siblings Jenny and Mike." Mylar quickly introduced her family perhaps she was trying to make the atmosphere more comfortable.
"Jaden, can you please tell us why we are meeting each other today?" Mr. Jeremy asked after a while of getting frustrated by now his wife was showing off herself as the good mother.
"Sir, I came her with my mom and my friend to talk about my relationship with Mylar, your daughter and to also get the opportunity to meet her parents and spend time with them." Jaden replied.
"That's nice." Mr. Jeremy said smiling but his wife scoffed at what he did and then all stared at her.
"Sorry, it's just came out." Mrs. Claire apologized.
"It didn't just come out, you did it on purpose." Mr. Jeremy said getting upset.
"Are you calling me a liar?" Mrs. Claire asked. Mylar was already sweating as she watched Mrs. Tobias's expression.
"Let's all go and eat dinner. I prepared a very nice dish especially Jaden's favorites." Mylar announced to interrupt the already starting argument.
"Really? You are so sweet babe." Jaden said with a smile and winked at Mylar who blushed by what he did but Mrs. Tobias was irritated by her son.
First of all, she didn't like that Mylar's parents lived together with their daughter and that she had very weird siblings who kept bugging her son to give them his phone and stripping him off every last cash in his pocket.
And the girl's parents were also so weird because they kept arguing about everything even at the dinning table, they argued about who would use what spoon.
They finished eating their food and discussed under a tense atmosphere if they will move their kids relationship further by allowing them to get engaged and well after a long while, they agreed to it and said their goodbyes with Mylar and Jaden constantly stealing kisses behind their parents back.
"I love you." Jaden whispered to her and blew her a kiss before shutting the door behind him. She laid her back on the door and giggled the yelled happily.
"Yes, I am getting engaged." She yelled raising her hand.
"Be quiet. He lives next door." Jenny cautioned her sister like an adult.
"Oh, that's true." Mylar said and bite her lips.
Thessa Belanger arrived at the hotel, a five star hotel where Mr. Mateo specially booked a luxury suite for her and her parents after the fixed alliance.
"I am getting engaged soon and to the most eligible bachelor in the whole city of Atlanta Georgia, the rich and famous billionaire Camilo Diego Wylder. Not only is he an hottie, he is also very good at flirting, my perfect combo." Thessa said lying on her bed in a sexy pose.
"You got what you want, now send the money into our account." Mr. Belanger said to his daughter after gulping down a glass of wine.
"And why would I do that? The engagement is still yet to happen." Thessa said and got up sexily.
"Don't you dare do that to us, pay us now or we will reveal to your soon to be in-laws how you asked this very poor parents of yours whom you abandoned several years ago to start up a fake acting career of scamming people to pretend to be rich and famous millionaires." Mrs. Belanger threatened.
"We would have never done this but your little sister is in the hospital in need of a kidney transplant and we need a lot of money to clear up our debt and her hospital bills." Mr. Belanger said sadly.
"Don't pretend to be good parents now, you two never tried to send me to school, I struggled to get to this position on my own so don't you dare lie to my face saying I forced you into this." Thessa said getting infuriated, she smashed the glass cup in her hand on the floor and walked away.
"We should do what she wants and safe our daughter's life, that's all that matters." Mrs. Belanger said to her husband and started crying, he came close to her and cuddled her to comfort her.
"Thank you all so much for acting like a family before Jaden, his mom and friend." Mylar said to her family after resting on the couch.
"I am glad everything went well for you." Mike said to Mylar smiling.
"Yes, I am happy for you too but please pay up now." Mrs. Claire said ruined the atmosphere.
"How can you be this inconsiderate, they just left." Mr. Jeremy reprimanded his wife and then he suddenly said.
"But she's right, you have to pay up." Mylar sighed regretfully.
"Why did God decide to make you my parents? It was the worst decision he could ever make for me." Mylar said, she then asked Jenny to get her bag. She brought out a few dollar notes and dropped it on the table.
Mrs. Claire and her husband rushed at it like hungry lions and started dragging it among themselves.
She brought out ten bucks and gave it to Jenny and Mike.
"Why do you want to give this to us?" Jenny asked and Mylar replied.
"You all tried to behave yourself today and look, I am getting engaged. I am so happy, so take it without asking me anymore questions." Mylar said and passed it to them.
They actually shared the money without fighting which was strange but she had no time to figure out what was strange about it, all she wanted to do was make a video call with Jaden, the love of her life.
"How do I find out what is strange about this people?" Diego asked himself as he sat alone on his bed with his lights turned off, there was only the bedside lamp to stop the darkness from completely taking over.
"They are definitely strange." Diego said and started listing out the things they did that was strange.
"They didn't know how to eat properly, they had no etiquette, their manner of speaking was uncultured, they were unable to answer a question without stuttering, everything about them was awkward. I need to find out."
"Find this out Camilo Diego Wylder, you are very smart." Diego said praising himself.
