"Well sir, it's like you said, I didn't want to argue with you, that's why I accepted the blame." Lilian had no choice than to go with what he said.
"I am so sorry I blamed you unjustly and fired you. I should have trusted you more. Please forgive me."
Lilian was confused on what to do. Alessandro really sounded sincere with his apology and if she was being sincere to herself, she loved working with him as well.
"Please Miss Howard, I really need someone like you by my side." Alessandro pleaded with her.
"if I come back to work with you, there is going to be some new changes." Lilian told him.
"What changes?" he asked.
"First of all, all this miss Howard thing is very tiring, my name is Lilian. And I don't want Giovanni coming to pick me up early in the morning or drop me off, I am a grown woman, I can make my way to work and back home by myself."
"Is that all?" Alessandro asked.
