Feyre watched as the council deliberated over what would happen to the king.
"What punishment would they give him?" Ava whispered.
"I have no idea, I hope it's something that will keep him unable to hurt anyone else ever again" Feyre whispered.
"I hope so too" Ava replied to her.
And then Gemini stepped forward. The crowd fell quiet waiting for what he would say.
"The council has come to an opinion. He will be burnt to death for his crimes" Gemini announced.
The crowd was in shock. Being burnt to death was the worst punishment that could be given to any vampire.
"Please no, no, no. Anything but fire" the king yelled as was seized by the guards and carried to the center of the podium.
"any last words?" Gemini asked Feyre.
"None" Feyre replied.
Gemini took a stick of fire from one of the witches and put it on the king's clothes. The fire licked away at his skin.
