Chapter 36: I Will Call the Cops
"See? How could I have planned everything?" Loreen shrugged.
"Then, how do you explain this?" Edric was about to play something in his phone, but both their attention was caught by the voices outside the room.
"Uhm, Sirs, why are you still standing outside? And my workmate hasn't gotten out of the room yet."
Loreen and Edric both turned to the door when they heard Grace's voice outside.
"Ah, they are conversing inside, so please do not mind us," Edric's assistant responded.
"With my workmate?"
Grace sounded puzzled.
"Yes."
"Excuse me, Sir. But my workmate is on duty. If you have something to speak with her, please do it after work."
"Isn't her shift already over?"
"It was extended," Grace replied.
It was obvious she was trying to get Loreen out of the room.
"I see. They will be done in just a few minutes. We are willing to compensate for the lack of hands at work."
