Chapter 2 - Happy Fat Water

Li Chunhua's head throbbed with pain as memories of an unfamiliar person flooded her mind. It took a few minutes for her to digest all the information and once she finished, she was shock and angry at the same time.

"This can't be real. Don't tell me I went inside the book and became the vicious cannon fodder Li Chunhua, who was hell-bent on making the protagonist suffer, so she could get the villain's attention. I won't accept this. Bring me back!" She shouted towards the heaven's in a loud, booming voice.

"Bring me back please! This is not funny."

No one answered her.

"Or maybe I was just trap illusion array?" She stopped shouting and rubbed her chin after remembering the blinding light she saw before the scenery changed.

She immediately rummaged the surroundings for any clues to prove her theory. After spending roughly ten minutes on the task, she wanted to cry.

She had read the book halfway and the author had emphasized that this world was not for a salted fish like her who only like to stay at home and be covered in moss. Li Chunhua sat on the ground and checked the clothes she was wearing.

A white short sleeve cotton shirt and a short pants made of coarse material that only covered half of her thighs. Her long slender legs were exposed unabashedly, making Li Chunhua, who used to wear three layers of robe, frowned. She touched her finger on which her spatial ring was on but…

She looked at her hand. Her spatial ring was gone!

Recalling all those delicacies, wines, and pills she had accumulated over the years and stored on her ring, Li Chunhua sobbed. Her soft cries echoed in the forest.

The rabid monsters in the vicinity heard the sounds of her heart-wrenching cries and followed the source.

There were rustling sounds in all directions and a bunch of white fluffy carnivorous rabbits pounced on her.

Li Chunhua was currently not in the mood to entertain any guest. She raised her hands and slapped the white things lunging themselves in her direction.

The white rabbits felt their brains shook from the force of her slap. They were shocked, never expecting a Level 0 human could kill them in one move. Alas! Their faces were filled regretfully before they burst into five lights. After their deaths, there were items that dropped on the grass.

Li Chunhua felt something entering her chests, the feeling resembled the moment when she absorbed qi essences. She was immediately thrilled and wanted to check if her cultivation was still there, but a bunch of rectangular glowing things popped in front of her, blocking her vision.

[Experience +10…+10…+10…+10…10]

[System Notification:

° Congratulations Player Li Chunhua for leveling up!

° Does Player wish to view personal stats?]

Li Chunhua recalled this rectangular things were called as holographic screen by the author and these stat must be the measurement of strength in this world. She was curious and agreed.

Li Chunhua tilted her head and blinked multiple times to confirm if her sight failed.

The stats on screen vastly different from the author had stated in the book. Her stats had an 'Error' besides every number, and it was in pulsating red glowing font.

An error?

Is there something wrong with her then?

In the midst of her pondering, two white shadows opened their mouths and threw themselves on her.

Smack-

Smack-

Li Chunhua jolted before defending herself instinctively with her fists.

Two more white lights entered her chest and a beeping sound rang in her ears.

[Experience +10…+10.]

[System Notification:

°Congratulations on leveling up!]

Li Chunhua sensed the strange energy circulating in her body again and was happy. She noticed the numbers on the screen changed, but the 'Error' word remained.

If she kept leveling up, then those things she casually swatted like flies were monsters? Aren't they too weak? The author had used hundreds of words to describe their ferocity and the difficulty of humans dealing with these monsters in early stage. But, that doesn't seem to be the case.

She closed the screen, not before giving the annoying red word a confused look.

Now that her vision wasn't blocked, Li Chunhua noticed there were coins made of copper on the ground and other strange items. She went to pick up the coins and the moment she touched it, they vanished and a beeping entered her ears with a message uttered in an emotionless voice.

[Copper coins +1…+1…+1…+1…]

She spent another two minutes gathering all the items on the ground in one spot. The coins had disappeared, which she guessed must be the inventory the player possessed. It's like a spatial ring but doesn't need qi essences in using. This was convenient.

She sat on the grass and inspected the things one by one.

[Spicy strips 250g +1]

[White quality Rusted Dagger +1Strength if equipped]

[White quality Beginner straw sandals +1Agility if equipped]

[Happy Fat Water (Cola) 250 ml +1]

Li Chunhua focused her attention on the last item. Happy Fat Water? What is this? She asked in her head because it was not mentioned in the book.

She grabbed the cylinder can that was made with some red metal. How do you open this? She read the words on the screen and followed the instructions.

Swish-

Li Chunhua looked through the small opening of the can and found out the liquid inside was black.

There were creases on her forehead and began to sniff the contents. Once she made sure there was no odd scent, she took a small sip.

Her eyes brightened. What is this heavenly taste? Those wines in the Fairy Fragrance Inn don't even amount to a tenth of this taste!

After a minute, the can was emptied, leaving her wanting for more. "This is really Happy Water. It makes people happy!"
