Chloe's P. O. V
Last night after many discussions and disagreements, Serene convinced me to tell the truth about my baby to the Alpha twins. I don't know what will happen after I reveal the truth to them, but I am now trusting my wolf.
"Are you sure we are doing the right thing? What if they don't believe me? I already lied to Tyler and Tyson despises me. I don't think it's a good idea," I asked her one last time before approaching the Alphas.
"Do not overthink; I just have a feeling that you should tell them the truth before it's too late," she scolded me like a grumpy grandmother.
Holding my breath I went up to the third floor towards the office of the Alphas. A tall handsome muscular man was standing in front of the office door. He had a friendly aura around him.
"Who are you? Where are you going?" he asked me stepping in my way.
"I am Chloe, the new assistant of the Alphas. I would like to see them it's important," I replied politely. Because his scent was indicating that he was a ranked werewolf, not any ordinary omega or guard.
"Oh! So you are the new girl Alpha Tyler brought last week. You have already become the talk of the town by now. I am the beta of this pack, Sam," he said with a smile and extended his hand. I accepted his hand and we shook hands.
"Don't mind me asking but I never saw you before," I said curiously.
"I was visiting our neighboring packs so that we could work on a treaty. Currently, the Alphas are having a meeting with the Alphas of our neighboring pack. So you cannot meet them at this moment. I am really sorry," he explained with his friendly smile never leaving his lips.
"Oh, I see. I will come later then," I said exhaling a long breath, and turned around to leave but was stopped by the voice of my grumpy wolf.
'Don't leave. I feel something strange. You should go inside that room. I think our mate is there," she urged me to go back. So I turned around and walked back to Sam.
"Can I please wait here for them? I have something really urgent to discuss with the alphas," I requested him. He thought for a moment before nodding his head.
"In that case, you can take my place and watch over. So that no one can interrupt the Alphas. I have to check the border security. Someone mind-linked me just now saying that we have an intruder. Can you do that?" he asked me. Tension was evident in his voice and I didn't waste a second to say yes to him. I must go near the office.
I gave Sam an assuring smile before he left hurriedly towards the stairs. I went in front of the office door just where Sam was standing before and waited for the meeting to be finished.
Suddenly I heard a loud voice from inside the office. I knew this voice since I was born. It was father's voice. Was he inside the office too? But why would he attend a pack treaty meeting? Wasn't he and the Twin Alphas arch-enemies?
I became curious and I pushed open the door a bit without making any sound so that I could peek inside the room. But before I could see anything a gush of scent touched my nostrils. It was a mixture of Lilac and lavender.
'Mate! Mate! Mate!' My wolf started yelling inside my head in excitement. I also felt a jolt of current flowing through my body the moment I inhaled the sweet scent.
"So my mate is inside the room? That means he's an Alpha of the neighboring pack," I mumbled under my breath. With that, I decided to go inside the office. I don't care about their damn meeting or facing my father. I just want to meet my mate.
But before I could fully open the door, I felt something sharp poke my neck and I lost consciousness.
Inside a dark cabin amidst nowhere
Chloe's P. O. V
I slowly opened my eyes with sheering pain inside my head. There was immense darkness around me. I extended my hand to search for my mobile but soon realized I wasn't in my room.
"Where am I?" I mumbled holding my head.
'You have been abducted." Serene's voice echoed inside my head.
Abducted? But when and how? I tried to search through my memories and suddenly I remembered that I was in front of the Alphas' office when someone injected something into my neck then I fainted.
"Who abducted me? Why did they abduct me?" I asked Serene.
"I don't know. We were about to meet our mate but now we are stuck amidst nowhere," Serene said in a frustrated voice.
"I think it's better that we didn't get to meet him," I retorted.
'Why are you saying this?'
"Have you forgotten that I am pregnant with someone else's baby? What will happen when he finds out about my truth? He would have rejected me in front of every Alpha of this city. We would have been humiliated and banished from this pack too," I explained to her.
'But what if he accepts us after knowing everything? At least he would have rescued us from here. I think he's searching for us at this moment,' she exclaimed. Her voice filled with hope.
"When he hasn't met us yet then how can you hope that he's searching for us? No one will search for us. Tyson hates me; he will be happy because of my disappearance. Tyler might search for some time then he will also forget about me. We will be stuck here forever. We must find a way to escape from her," I said.
'If we got the scent of our mate then he must have got our scent too. So I am certain that he will search for us. Don't lose hope, Chloe.'
My stupid wolf and her dreams. Is it really possible that I our mate also inhaled our scent and he is searching for us? Will he accept me knowing about my pregnancy?
