She pressed her lips together. He wasn't holding back at all.
His very opening statement was a threat.
This...is one of those tricky decisions...already.
She lifted her chin. "Nevremia is not beholden to the laws of Pristan, I will remind you. What you speak of would be seen as an act of war."
That was true enough...though, she was concerned this could end badly.
She was, after all, far from any reinforcements beyond her own consorts.
Luther narrowed his eyes, observing her.
"In this case, your kingdom being on the brink of ruin over its mismanagement, your people are living in fear due to the rampaging plague released on them as retribution by your former loyalists, and you've turned up, a foreign leader asking to borrow some medicine to help save your people...I don't believe your war is much of a threat."
He shook his head after a moment. "But yes. I suppose you still speak the truth. For now."
