Y/N]

She swallowed. Yes.

The spinning and sparkling in the center of the gacha stopped and then abruptly flung to one side, opening into a shining golden gate in the air. From within, a ball of light floated, spiraled through the air, and then exploded into sparkles to reveal its identity.

It was a person.

...A person?!

A beautiful man with long blue hair in a french braid stood in front of her. His long lashes would make any woman jealous. Soft green eyes looked at the ground in a daze, as if he were still in a trance of some sort.

An information box appeared in front of him.

"....What."

She stared at the lost looking man, who now just...stood in the middle of the hospital like he belonged there.

"What?!"

Okumura looked up at her with tearful eyes. Like if she rejected him he'd burst into tears.

He wore an elaborate white robe with golden designs on the front of a lotuses and cranes, trimmed with fur. Wrapped around his waist was a pink sash. His lower body wore silky pants that glittered with a subtle pattern, and his feet were clad in elegant sandals.

His ears were decorated with dangling earrings of small crystals and gold, and his hands bore white fingerless gloves with studs running along the knuckles.

Phoenix casually looked over his shoulder at the man. "...Okumura, darling, why are you just standing there like a lost puppy? Go get Her Majesty something to eat."

...Huh?!

Why-

Why was Phoenix acting like the strange man belonged there?!

As if he wasn't something summoned up from an impossible lottery!?

Tenshi nodded meekly. "Okay..." His voice was soft and somewhat meek as he obediently moved towards the door, looking around nervously before exiting through the doors.

When he closed the door behind himself, she rounded on Phoenix, grabbing his robes and shaking him. "Who was that?! What the hell!! What-"

His made an unhappy noise, and his hand cupped the back of her neck. "Isabelle. Calm down, what's gotten into you?"

"The hell do you mean what's gotten into me?! Don't act like that guy wasn't just some sort of magical thing that was summoned out of nowhere! You know him?! Who is he!"

He sighed and pulled her head against his chest. "Now, now...I told you not to stress yourself. Shh. Relax, breathe."

She let him stroke her hair.

"Alright?"

She nodded stiffly.

Did...everyone...really just believe Okumura belonged in the world now...?

It...seemed...to be that way.

What in the world...?

Tenshi returned shortly, holding out a plate of steaming hot food for her, smiling hopefully. "Your majesty..."

The smell wafting from the food made her mouth water.

"...Thank you...?"

"Of course." His eyes fluttered shyly downwards. "Please eat well, and feel better." He smiled tenderly.

So...okay.

This man just...appeared out of a sky portal because she pressed a button in a screen she still argued with herself about whether was actually a delusion or not. Despite this, neither he nor the others around her seemed to recognize the sky portal thing happened at all, much less that Tenshi was a new random resident who didn't even fit in with their fashion.

It was the last bit which finally made her speak.

"...Tenshi you're wearing...something different..."

His cheeks colored and he ducked his hair. "N-no, it's the same as always..."

"--No, I...meant...-" She coughed. "Y-your style is...different from the others'. Where did you get your clothes?"

He looked surprised at that, lifting his head to meet her gaze, tilting it slightly. "It...is my homeland...my uniform from...my homeland..."

"Oh, you're from a country with a different fashion from ours, then?" She hummed, poking the spoon through her food and beginning to eat it. It tasted as delicious as it smelled, so that was good at least.

Phoenix gave her a worried look, as if her questions made no sense.

She...should probably let this drop and tap out to the weird being orchestrating all this but...she couldn't resist pushing a little harder. "...Where was Tenshi during the parade?"

The young man's eyes widened.

Lyov coughed. "Your majesty?!" He reached out quickly and pressed his hand to her forehead, testing her temperature. "...He just returned. He was away, so he couldn't have been in the parade. You know that. Why would you ask such a strange thing?"

...So that's how it is...

She could push no further without arousing suspicion, so she let it drop, peacefully eating her food instead.

Tenshi remained to the side, anxiously wringing his hands as if afraid she might hate him for simply existing.

The moment she finished the food, the dishes vanished off of her table to the mysterious world of 'not here' where plates usually vanished to, and he timidly approached. "...May I...keep you company...?"

His green eyes were large, soft, and hopeful.

She didn't have the heart to turn him down.

Bizarre as the situation was...

He was...

too cute.

"...Yeah...you can keep me company, Tenshi..."

His whole face brightened like a Christmas tree.

...How could she say no to that?

Besides...she didn't even know where he'd live, in the event she did tell him to fuck off.

He immediately shuffled up to her and leaned his cheek on her shoulder. Apparently...he was a cuddle bug.

She leaned her cheek into his hair as he nuzzled against her, and idly began to thread her fingers through his smooth locks.

"Mm..." He breathed, smiling contently, leaning against her like a house cat.

Tentatively, she spoke.

"...Are you a fire user, Tenshi?"

"Mhm~" He cooed happily. "I use...fire magic..."

She pursed her lips. "Hmmm~...do you mind if I ask how you learn how to do that?"

He tilted his head into her touch. "Learn?"

"Like...who taught you? Your parents?"

"I..." He furrowed his brows, confused. "I...was born with it?"

"Mhmm...I see..." She gently played with his hair. "Are you good at it?"

His eyes closed as she threaded her fingers through his hair, and a pleased smile spread across his lips. "I'm okay at it. Not the best but...I'm pretty good, too..."

"Have you met any other fire mages?" She asked.

"I...did once...when I was very small..." His expression softened, and a light flush of color spread across his cheeks. "She was...beautiful..."

Okay. So the only other person with this type of magic he ever met was a woman.

She smiled softly. "...What was her name?"

"I don't know..." He opened his eyes halfway and looked up at her shyly. "She was really powerful though..."

She nodded slowly, making noncommittal noises as he described the woman, noting any identifying traits that might give her something to go off of.

Red hair?

Very tall?

Skilled in combat?

Eventually Tenshi calmed and laid still, perfectly content to listen to her heartbeat while she rested, the perfect picture of peacefulness and relaxation.

She shook her head and pursed her lips.

How is someone this delicate a guardian...?
