The play went on surprisingly long into the night before it finally concluded. The once lively crowd calmed down considerably due to exhaustion by the time the actors all stood and bowed.
Even with Snowball napping through most of it, Isabelle didn't entirely remember enough of the plot to make sense of most of it.
She hadn't really tried to, though, instead enjoying her evening with her husbands and her family.
Although she hadn't comprehended the details, the themes had been very evident. Power, corruption, intrigue, justice, betrayal...
She couldn't tell any of the nuance, given that she'd barely been able to follow the actual plot, so it felt a bit....heavy handed? Aimless?
But anything would when she paid so little attention and understood so little of it.
What it had to do with the winter festival she wasn't certain, and doubted she'd know even if she could have followed the play. It was too symbolic
