Isabelle sank into the hot water of the outrageously large and unreasonably extravagant bathtub. The scents of jasmine and orange blossom from the bubbles rising above her and the relaxing effect of the hot water flowing over her tense and sore body.
The tension that had built in her muscles, in her jaw, and in her stomach faded away slowly but steadily as she sunk deeper into the heavenly warmth.
Snowball curled up next to her on the marble tile flooring with a yawn that turned into a half squeak.
A content smile crossed her lips.
This feels wonderful... Isabelle sighed blissfully and leaned back further into the bath, submerging her face partially into the water and then returning to the surface moments later.
The heat seeped through her skin and penetrated her bones until they ached pleasantly. She groaned softly, closing her eyes tightly and inhaling deeply through her nose, relishing the steam that rose around her face from the tub.
