It's ultimately another day longer than expected to travel down the winding path with our caravan before we actually make it to Neraw.
It's looking a bit better than when we left, but if the king has been sending out adventurer's guild or soldiers to help fix the towns, he's either not made it to Neraw or skipped it entirely.
Given we haven't encountered such a force yet past Neraw, I'm inclined to believe it's the former.
If King Henri sent anyone at all.
After we arrive in Neraw, it's not long until we meet up with Valentine. His house is near the outskirts of town, conveniently near the entrance of the city we arrive at.
Once Valentine is outside to greet us, he squints at the caravan and then back to us. "...I take it the other cities didn't fare too well?" He asks cautiously, brow furrowing slightly.
That's an understatement to be sure.
But not said with any perceivable malice. Of course.
