May comes charging at me as soon as she sees me emerge from my room in the morning. "Auntieeee!" She latches onto my legs in a bear hug, nearly throwing me off balance.
I suppress a huff and look down at her with a small smile. "Morning, May."
She nuzzles my legs, making a humming noise of satisfaction before she lifts her head and grins up at me. "Hiiiii!"
I tousle her hair, and give a small hum. "You're quite energetic today."
"Uh-huh! Taffy said I should be super extra extra super duper awesome extra excited today!" She responds with a vigorous nod.
Celeste, who stands a short distance back - having once again volunteered to sleep next to May last night - smiles at that and puts a hand on her hip. "Did he, now? I see..."
Roland joins them. "What's got you all pumped up this early?" He chuckles. "Somebody let you drink a secret elixir?"
"Nope! Taffy!" May chirps, shaking her head before pointing down to Taffy.
