Lucas barks a laugh, rolling his eyes and waving his hand, as if my question is completely absurd.

Well, it is absurd. He's not wrong.

But the entire discussion has gotten absolutely absurd anyway. The idea of Zane secretly hunting the Tear by attacking poorly defended border towns is some ridiculous fantasy out of a drunken soldier's campfire tale.

Or...well. Oddly enough, it also completely fit my ludicrous client, so far.

Lucas finally shakes his head and gives a little hum. "Oh, I assure you, I'm quite charming enough to know some secrets, but enough to know deep secret knowledge on the Tear? Not nearly so. The best thing I can offer you is the world's finest Angel's Tear themed merchandise."

He hummed, before adding. "And maybe some rumors about people whose drunken uncles definitely saw it out hunting in their local woods."

I purse my lips and fix my gaze resolutely forward, eyes sharp.
