After the constant rain for the past three days, the night sky was finally free from the dark clouds and was instead, filled with stars. It was the night of the Lunar Eclipse but the moon hadn't made its appearance yet.
In one of the moonlit open courtyards of Chen Manor, Li Xian could be seen walking back and forth. His white robes and silky silver hair blew with the soft wind that was making the night even more beautiful. Every few seconds, his sapphire eyes shifted toward Xiang Ling's private chamber which was filled with a soft glow of light. A frown was decorating his handsome face as he struggled to make a decision.
He suddenly came to a halt with his gaze still fixed on the dimly lit chamber. Letting out a sigh, he finally made up his mind and headed toward the door of Xiang Ling's chamber. Once there, he knocked on the door but received no response.
