Chapter 4 - Something Unnoticed

Two weeks have passed since the accident, but the technician who repaired Adrian's car dashcam has yet to give us any definitive news. He said that the damage was quite severe and the footage inside was slightly damaged. But he was trying to salvage the contents as it was only the footage that Adrian needed.

Because of this, Adrian had to wait a little longer to see the results. He had requested the CCTV footage at the hospital, but as he expected, the woman's face was not clearly visible. In addition to her seat almost hitting the cctv blind spot, her face was also covered by her hair.

"The video on the dashcam is the only clue I have to find her," Adrian said as he looked out the window of his car that was driving towards his company.

Today he had an important meeting with the manager of his main company TechNC.

The Foster family actually owned two large companies. But the second company, FoodST, which specialized in sweets, was handled by his sister Elena.

As usual, when Adrian arrived at the company, the female employees were gathered near the entrance to greet him. Adrian smiled and greeted them as he walked into the company.

"Yes, good morning too..." he greeted them.

"Mr. Adrian looks very handsome this morning," said one of the female employees.

"Right... He always looks handsome. Already handsome, smart, single too. I wonder what his female criteria are? I'm curious."

"Certainly not a woman like us, I'm sure his criteria woman has the same level as him."

As Adrian was about to enter the elevator, a woman ran towards the elevator that was about to close and asked whoever was inside to hold the elevator.

Adrian pressed the button to make the elevator doors open again, and the woman went inside with a sense of relief.

"Thank you so-- Oh? Mr. Adrian?" greeted the woman who had just realized that the man in the elevator was her boss.

"Yes, hello."

The elevator doors closed and it was just the two of them in the elevator. The wavy brunette was happy to be alone with the CEO of her company. She tucked her hair behind her ear and tried to engage the man in conversation.

"How is your arm, Mr. Adrian? I heard you broke your left arm in the accident," she asked.

"Oh? Yes, it's still quite difficult for me to move, luckily it's only a minor fracture," Adrian replied.

"I was very worried when I found out you had been in an accident. Luckily you're okay."

Adrian smiled and nodded. Before exiting the elevator, he asked the woman's name.

"Oh I'm Zoey. Zoey Harrison," the woman replied.

"Miss Harrison, have a good day," he said and walked out of the elevator where his secretary was waiting for him.

"Have a good day? Ohh? Is he interested in me? He would say something like that..." Zoey said with a smile.

She felt that it was possible that her beauty had captured the boss's heart. "Heh, I know I'm pretty. If I see him more often, will he be more fascinated with me?"

Zoey walked excitedly to her office desk and sat down while putting down the documents she was carrying. At the company, she was assigned the task of creating designs for the goods the company produced.

When she sat down and opened her document folder, she realized that she had left some documents at home.

"Huh? Where... I left it at home? Heh how annoying!!!" she complained and took her cell phone out of her bag.

Meanwhile, Avians was busy drying some clothes when the house phone rang. She hurriedly entered the house and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Avians! I need you to deliver my documents that are on the table in my room. I need you here before 11pm!" Zoey said from the other end of the line.

"Ehh... I delivered it there?" asked Avians.

"No, but a wild monkey in the jungle! Of course it's you, are you deaf?! Hurry up and when you get to the parking lot, call me!"

Before Avians could answer, Zoey had already hung up. Avians had no choice but to deliver the documents. She glanced at the clock on the wall, it was still 8.55am.

She went to finish her homework first before finally delivering the documents Zoey had requested.

Two hours passed, finally Adrian's meeting was over. He walked away from the company to his car in the company parking lot. Because his left hand was still difficult to use to drive, he used his family's driver to take him everywhere.

"It's 10.53pm now, lunch time is still an hour away. Since I don't have anything scheduled today, I'd better go home now," he said as he loosened his tie slightly.

As he was walking towards his car that was waiting at the exit of the parking lot, Adrian bumped into a woman with long black hair who just ran past him.

He briefly looked back, seeing that she was wearing a long dress that covered her legs.

"Why would a woman dressed like that enter the company? She's definitely not one of the employees here," he said as he watched the woman continue to run to the elevator in the parking area.

It appeared that there was already someone waiting for her and they chatted a bit.

"Just someone delivering goods apparently..." he muttered then continued on his way to his car.

Somehow he felt like he recognized the woman's features, but he couldn't remember where he saw her. Without realizing it, it was Avians that she was looking for. Avians came to deliver the documents Zoey had requested.

"Fool, it took you so long to come!" Zoey snapped.

"S-sorry... The taxi I took broke down, so I ran here.." said Avians with her breath coming in gasps.

"Huh.. Go home already, don't let anyone see you talking to me, I don't want them to think anything weird!" the woman chased her away and got back into the elevator.

Avians could only sigh and walk away from there to find a taxi back home.

On the way, she stopped to check her cell phone because there was an incoming message from her mother asking her to buy groceries that were on the shopping list.

"Even though I didn't bring any extra money, it would have been less if I used it to take a taxi home," she said confused.

She walked away, leaving the car parked nearby when a man just rolled down his window to look outside.

"Mr. Adrian, shall we go straight to your residence now?"

"Yes, I think we'll go straight to--" Before he could finish speaking, the man's cell phone rang.

When picked up, it was a call from the technician who repaired Adrian's dashcam. He said that the video footage of the accident had been fixed and the face of the woman he was looking for was clearly visible.

"Really? Good. I'll be right there!"

Adrian got out of his car and entered the company again to see who the woman who had saved his life was.
