Chapter 27 - Justified Theft

"This is not a good night for this," Zac commented to the four men in a low voice while looking at them without fear.

The look on Zac's face resembled that of an animal about to kill its prey.

However, he was only one, and these men were armed with pocket knives.

"Hehehe, looks like we found a hero!" Said one of them.

"Are you thinking of taking on four men, boy? I want to see what gives you all that confidence!" Said the one who threatened Zac with a pocket knife before he lunged at one of the boy's arms, just to make him leave that confident position and hand over everything he had to them.

Zac did the opposite of what their logic predicted. He stepped forward and put himself in a fighting position.

Zac controlled his vision power and saw his opponent's weak point while already using his telekinetic power to move the man's body.

Zac could move objects with his mind. He realized this during the home invasion and had trained this ability a bit in the last few days. He used it a lot in the night fights he had participated in recently. But he still had a long way to go before he could throw a person from one side to the other, for example.

He could throw objects and even make them temporarily float in the air as long as they were small and light. But a person who weighed more than 70 kilograms, like the lightest of the four, he couldn't affect that much now. At most, he could throw them off balance and make them make mistakes.

When he used this skill on the opponent who attacked him, the blade of the man's pocket knife missed Zac's body as he closed a fist and drove it to that person's chin.

As his right hand approached the fool's chin, sparks flew from the corners of Zac's fingers as he struck where he had aimed.

Zac was not a born fighter. But he knew enough about physics and anatomy to know how to move and where to strike to inflict maximum pain or even knock out his opponents. Combined with his current skills, he had become a formidable amateur fighter!

The moment he hit the first of his opponents, that man only felt something hit his jaw, and everything around him went dark.

His three companions saw him get hit and then fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Puff!

His fall was strange, with no sign that he was conscious and trying to protect himself from hitting the ground face-first.

These three men knew how to spot someone falling unconscious, so they immediately understood that Zac had knocked out their friend.

"Shit!"

"Tsk! Get that little shit!"

The three pulled out their pocket knives and assumed fighting positions, realizing that their victim knew how to fight.

"Bad decision," Zac said when he saw that these people didn't run away.

He was filled with hatred and wanted to get to Dario. But these fools stood in his way just when he didn't want to fight anyone else.

He moved to dodge the attack of the first of the three, trying to react to the situation before he saw a wound on the left heel of one of the three furthest away from him.

Zac didn't hesitate to move closer to this person until he had enough space to kick the man's left heel hard and fast.

"Aaaaagh!"

The man overbalanced and fell to the ground, screaming in pain, unable to withstand Zac's attack. He almost immediately lost any strength to continue!

"You wretch!" One of the last two standing lunged desperately at Zac.

Most of the little thieves didn't know how to fight properly. Sure, they were better fighters and better armed than ordinary law-abiding citizens. But most of the time, they used the persuasive power of their weapons against their victims.

When they came up against someone with Zac's capabilities, these men were in for a real treat!

They also didn't have firearms to threaten Zac more effectively, so they had to fight their way through.

But this was not to be their day.

After taking down his second opponent, Zac dodged the third's desperate attack before grabbing the man's arm and sending an electric current through it.

When the man felt he didn't have the strength to move his arm, he despaired while Zac broke his arm, just like in action movies.

"Aaaaagh!"

The man screamed as he felt his arm being broken, while the fourth rolled his eyes and dropped his pocket knife to the ground.

"Fuck!" The last of the four turned and ran, feeling his rational side screaming at him to run.

'Good for you.' Zac looked in that person's direction, aware he could not stop this individual from escaping with his current abilities.

As the two men screamed in pain, he struck sensitive points on both of them, causing them to stop screaming and faint.

He had knocked people unconscious like this in the neighborhood over the past few days. Still, this time, he looked at these three individuals in a completely different way.

'You're thieves, so you won't mind if I take your things, right?' He quickly analyzed what was with the men.

He had the education to know that he shouldn't rob someone just because they were unconscious. But these men were trying to rob him.

He thought it fair to take everything they had!

'I will put your money to better use.' He left with three smartphones and 348 Lunar Pennies, but also the identities of those three and some smaller items, jewelry, and cards.

He still wanted to go after Dario, so he put these things in the pockets of his jacket and trousers before running off toward the Mullens' residence.

He wasn't really in a hurry to get to Dario's house, but he wanted to get away from those three guys as soon as possible.

He was taking action against bandits who were willing to fight, but he wasn't stupid enough to think that he wouldn't have any problems if someone found out what he had done so far!

While feeling the adrenaline rush of taking down three thieves and then robbing them, Zac moved like a professional runner, quickly distancing himself a few blocks from the incident scene.

To his surprise, he would arrive at Dario's house almost simultaneously as the young man returned from his nocturnal adventures!
