Emperor Wu was wondering who was bold enough to intrude on him, when he saw that it was his mother.
"Mother, what are you doing here?" Emperor Wu quickly moved closer to hold her arm with an obsequious smile on his face.
Being a filial son, Emperor Wu had always been very obedient toward his mother.
The empress dowager glared at Emperor Wu. "I hear that you're going to remove Junjun from the entourage?"
Emperor Wu cleared his throat.
The empress dowager glared at him. "It's true! You really are going to do that!"
Empress Dugu interjected, "Your Majesty, that's only because His Royal Highness is so…"
"Shut your mouth!" The old lady was furious, and she glowered at Empress Dugu. "I'm talking to my son. This isn't your place to speak!"
Empress Dugu was speechless.
