The few gossipy ladies had left but An'an still hadn't gotten out of the nightmare from three years ago. Her entire body was chilly and she had even stopped breathing.
She suddenly felt some pain on her jaw. The man seemed to be speaking, "Gu An'an, were they speaking the truth? Did you really slash your wrist and try to commit suicide?"
An'an lifted her eyes and they met with Lu Yan's. He was holding her jaw while his eyes were bloodshot, questioning her about that incident.
Quickly getting herself together, all the color had drained from her face though she replied, "It's none of your business!"
She pushed him away and turned around to leave.
Lu Yan had been caught off guard and he jolted backwards. She walked past him and he quickly stretched out his arm to grasp her wrist. "Gu An'an!"
