Chapter 2 - Getting Caught

The warmth on her leg didn't come from sunlight blanket but a little creature with two hands and a pair of legs. Wu SuYi was take by surprise, wondering who this little boy who had hugged her might be. The boy buried his face on her legs, latching his little arm that was still chubby as he appeared to be around seven years of age with an iron grip.

After confusion, Wu SuYi then tried to find out why the boy was here. His clothes were clean, perhaps he had came with his parents to the law firm? But most children who came to the law firm are children whose parents are in the process of divorce. Not every children who came to visit are, but most of the time it was.

"Little boy," Wu SuYi called up his name, hoping that the boy would reply her yet he didn't. He continue to persist and hugged her leg as if letting her go would mean losing his treasure.

Wu SuYi wondered if she should bent down, that way it would be easier for her to speak with the boy in an eye level. But the boy had hugged her leg so tight that it was difficult. Therefore, she bent her body forward.

"Cute little boy. Auntie has something important to do. You can tell auntie whatever you need and I promise I would help you with it. If you are searching for your mother—" at her words, the boy finally reacted by looking at her.

His lips moved, "It is dangerous."

English? Wu SuYi wasn't insufficient with her language. She had learned English on her own and made use of her skill later after received scholarship to London. The boy appeared Chinese, but also seemed to be a wealthy one.

Wu SuYi took a better look at the boy after the warning he gave and she noticed his trembling arms and legs. Apart from his fear that she could look better, she also noticed from behind a man draped in all black clothes that stood out sorely hiding behind the pillar with his gaze glued on them. Or maybe not them, but only the boy.

"Are you scared to speak?" Wu SuYi asked, receiving the boy's nod. "Don't worry, little baby. With me here, you will be alright. Auntie will ask you some question can you answer them in a low voice."

The little boy seemed scared but he was commendable to her eyes by giving the proper nod. "Do you know that man who is dressed in black jacket, sunglasses, and hat?"

"No. He has been following me," said the boy, scared that his long lashes trembled.

With how adorable the boy was, Wu SuYi recalled the recent news of human trafficking that range children of five to fifteen year old. "Is your mother here?"

The boy pursed his lips with more tears on his eyes, "Mother... died."

"Can you let go of Auntie's leg for a moment?" Wu SuYi saw how the boy became more hesitant. "Trust me." Finally the boy took one step back and he expected the woman would run as for the entire time, he had tried to ask for help but no one read the sign like Wu SuYi did. But at once, Wu Su Yi cupped the boy to her arms. "Now, if we talk together like this, it would be better. What about your father?"

"Work," the boy answered.

Wu SuYi pretended her eyes were staring at the boy but actually, she had been looking at the man through hidden glances. She saw something sparkled and that would only mean on thing.

"Can you play with auntie a little bit?" Wu Su Yi questioned the boy who looked at her in confusion. "See this building beside auntie? This is a law firm where I work. In here there are many people who work as a defender of justice. Now, auntie want you to go inside and at once go the security guard would you?"

The boy instead, looked at her with his large eyes twinkling in worries, and he shook his head.

"Are you worried about me?" Wu SuYi saw the boy nodding after her question. His chubby cheeks were fluffy that put her to a good mood. She showed the boy a confident smile. "Well, auntie will be alright but I would be sad if you don't play with me."

The boy's adorable face tilted and his eyes looked guilty when Wu SuYi wrinkled her lower lips, looking sad. He quickly nodded to her proposition.

"When I let you down and tell you run, quickly enter the building okay?" Wu SuYi asked the boy who nodded with a determined face as if he had just receive a very important task.

While Wu SuYi bent and placed the boy down, she eyed the man who began to make move and take the little boy.

Wu SuYi placed the boy slowly before making a mark, "Run!"

The little boy ran as he might, entering the building. The man who had been following him for ill intention was alarmed when he saw the boy running toward the guard. He took out his knife, charging toward the boy without knowing how he had passed Wu SuYi.

People screamed when they saw the knife but was more surprised when they saw Wu SuYi, who had stood next to the running man, used one of her lag to pivot and kicked the man's stomach.

One kick was a great enough impact to throw the man across the floor.

"What the hell—"

"I see you pray to Hell," Wu SuYi came in front of the view while the man was in ground. She saw how the man's eyes widened. Pushing himself from the ground, he tried to reach for the knife that had been thrown across but before his hand could reach, Wu SuYi stepped the back of her high heel to the man's wrist.

An erupting scream was cried by the man.

"What a coincidence, I don't believe in God as well. Though I don't pray to Hell either. I don't have anything against people who worship Hell or Demon but you see, it is my job to bring the fucker who wore human skin to jail—" Wu SuYi saw an incoming attack from her left where the man had used his hidden knife to stab her feet only for this time, Wu SuYi used her heel to step on the man's neck, dangerously almost killing him on stop.

She sighed while looking at the man, looking as if she was tired. Her hand went trough her hair, pushing it back. Her eyes narrowed while her red lips formed a line. Both her well kept eyebrow pulled on a frown as a complete look of disgust appeared on her eyes as if she was looking at a human garbage.

"I am still talking. An aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and an attempt of abduction. You will be under arrest once the police is here. As a parting gift, I can tell you something," Wu SuYi bent her body forward while her heels were near the man's vein on his neck, the very dangerous vital part that could kill him and he didn't want to move too harshly or speak for fear the heels would stab through his neck.

"I am actually a lawyer."

The man pulled a low smirk. "E-Even if you are a lawyer. Do you think it is acceptable for you to attack me like this."

"As long as I don't hurt you this is self defense. there are abuse of self defense but a stupid man who try to kidnap a boy on broad daylight won't be able to understand that. I can do what I wish as long as it doesn't kill you for you had come and attacked me using that sharp lethal object. Now let me tell you what will happen to you. The police will take you now."

"I'm not scared of police."

"Oh, you should be. Because that kind police man would only bring you to the prison. In prison, I know many criminals. Some whom I have saved and others who I have tamed. Those people will definitely be glad to see you there on my behalf. Bye bye."

The man's smile had fallen as Wu SuYi retracted her feet, letting the police to take care the rest. Round of applause rain all over the street as people acknowledge her bravery but one person from afar was shocked by what he saw, shocked enough for a smile to then formed on his lips.

He had just found a very bea
