Her smile was modest but her tone was anything but.
"Security! How do you guys work here?! Throw her out!" The man raged furiously.
Shera Black snorted and casually tied her hair into a messy bun.
In the next moment, five to six security guards were sent flying one after another. They didn't even manage to touch her clothes.
All the guests's jaws dropped into huge 'O's. They all subconsciously bundled to one side to evade the monster.
Those security guards were hired by the Qin family!!
How could she casually knock them down?!
Was she human?!
The woman smiled wickedly and glanced at the dumbfounded Partriach Qin. "How about now? Can I stay?"
She interrupted him before he could speak, "If you send more men to fight me, I'm afraid I will not be able to control myself anymore. How about we forget about this matter?"
As though she didn't sound ridiculous enough, she sashayed towards them. "I mean no trouble, really. I even brought a gift."
At the mention of gift, she took a tiny box from her pocket and tossed it towards the infuriated man. Cece was first to catch it before it hit her father's head. she shot a look of displeasure at Shera Black.
At this point, Livian hurried over and took the box. If anything were to happen, it would rather happen to him than to his sister.
"Have someone check it. Nothing good would come from such a mannerless woman! I'm afraid it might be something harmful." Cece Qin shrieked.
"Please." Shera Black yawned. "Do you think I have so much time to waste? If I wanted your father dead, I would stab him as soon as I arrived. But don't worry. Killing an old fart isn't in the least bit fun."
Mrs. Qin was successfully irked. She could no longer remain calm. "Preposterous! I have never seen anyone as shameless as you! Didn't your mother teach you to behave yourself?!"

Her words echoed in Shera Black's mind.
They echoed for a long time..
Mother...
Shera Black suddenly smiled, but her smile was much scarier than her words.
Mrs. Qin unconsciously stepped back. What kind of eyes were those?
Just when she thought this strange woman was going to detonate or straight up start a bloodbath, the vicious intent in Shera Black's eyes cleared off.
Her smile was sinister. "No, she didn't. Do you want to remind her to teach me? I could send you to her for free. No need to thank me!"
The onlookers were even more irked. How could such an uncouth person simply barge into such an honorable banquet? Why were the hosts still wasting time?
Patriarch Qin saw the displeasure on all the guests' faces and was anxious.
As though knowing what he was about to say, Shera Black smiled evilly. "Aren't you going to take a look at your gift?"
Patriarch Qin had a nagging feeling that if he didn't take a look, he might regret it. He hurried to his son's side.
Livian Qin had just finished opening the box. He glared at the woman who was just a few steps away. "What's this?! Do you take us Qin family for kids?"
"What are you waiting for? Send her away!" He barked at the new batch of security guards.
"Don't... don't..." Patriarch Qin stammered. His whole body was suddenly shaking.
"Father!" Cece Qin rushed over to steady him, as did Mrs. Qin and Leo. Cece took out a medicine bottle that she had carried around in her purse, took out two pills and helped him take them.
When the man was calmer, Cece Qin wanted to take a look at the so called present. Mrs. Qin and Leo wanted to see it too. "What did she send?"
Unexpectedly, the man who was on the verge of a heart attack suddenly grabbed the box and secured it. "You cannot touch it!"
Everyone was shocked.
Cece Qin, Madam Qin and Leo Qin all looked towards Livian, who shrugged to express that he wouldn't say a word to them.
The security guards were still wondering whose orders to follow. The second master had said to toss her out but the old master had said to let her be. They didn't know what to do, so they awkwardly stood close to Shera Black.
"Let her be! This is an important day."
His implication was that he would deal with her later. However, the number of guests who would buy his explanation was a different matter altogether.
Wasn't he howling to have her thrown out a moment ago? Why would he have such a sudden change in attitude? Paired with his reaction after seeing the so called gift, it wasn't hard to do the math. The gift was either something extremely valuable or a threat.
If it was valuable, he would have been pleased, not shocked to the point of almost fainting. Since they now believed that it was most likely to be a threat, it made one wonder how formidable a threat had to be to shake the patriarch of the Qin family to that extent.
Not only was he so shocked that he almost had a heart attack, he even sounded more friendly when he came to. The so called friendliness was obviously forced. "This young miss, what's your name? Which family are you from? Please feel welcome. Someone, serve her drinks!"
Everyone had a new 'O' that was their mouths, while Shera Black simply chuckled. "No thank you. I'm done here."
She turned to leave.
"Th-that... I'm sorry for being rude before. No one will send you away anymore."
This time Livian was the most shocked. It was just a picture. Wasn't his father's reaction too exaggerated? What could a picture do?
Shera Black turned to look at him before arrogantly smirking. "Is that so? But I've decided to leave. Even if you kneel and kowtow to me a hundred times, I'm afraid it won't be enough to keep me."
Everyone was pissed by her arrogance. What was the meaning of that?
Luckily, she was leaving. Shoo!
Two minutes passed.
"Why are you still here?" Cece Qin asked. Didn't she say she was leaving?
"You want me to leave so badly? I want to be here. What can you do about it?" Came the rude tone yet again.
"You..."
Cece was about to explode when Shera yawned. "I'm done having fun. I'll leave now. See you later!"
I don't want to see you again! Cece screamed in her heart as did everyone else.
"Oh... do you know that 5 is my lucky number?"
Everyone was on the verge of crying now. Can you leave already?
"I'll see you again on the 5th of May. Don't miss me too much!"
This time, she really left.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
Honorable guests, we apologise for what just happened. We hope nothing else will go wrong, so let the banquet continue." Leo Qin announced with a smile.
After a few more words from him, the guests were at ease so the banquet spiralled back to normal. As expected of the Qin family.
They could avert a storm with just a few words.
But an even bigger storm was awaiting them.
This time, it was Madam Qin who prepared to unveil the Heart of the Goddess.
She touched the hem of the silk cloth and lifted it with a smile.
"Honorable guests, this is what you have all been..."
Her eyes suddenly went wide with shock. Even in the presence of so many guests, she couldn't control her shock.
The Qins realized something was wrong and looked over.
The case... was empty?!
